ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Manages a business development team with assigned areas and/or clients.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Works closely with department heads, and others as needed to develop high quality strategic proposals.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor degree in business, marketing or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Ten years' experience in business development, marketing, or sales and experience managing employees.
Experience in oil and gas industry is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must be computer literate in using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Must demonstrate the ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
Must be proactive in meeting customer needs and have an enthusiastic approach to selling and marketing our services.
Ability to interact effectively with client and company personnel seeking information.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
