The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.PURPOSEWe are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Commercial Legal Counsel to join our Legal Director in support of the SITA at Borders Business Unit. This is a global role covering EURO, MEA, APAC and AMER. You will work with a diverse and internationally-minded team, contributing your legal expertise on business activities, transactions, and large-scale projects, and supporting the team to secure great results in an efficient, legally-sound and compliant way. International travel in support of this work is highly likely.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLegal Support for the Borders Business Unit: Advise on day-to-day business activities and transactions for the Business Unit, working closely with the Legal Director, the wider Legal Team around the globe, and supporting the Business Unit's contract management team.Transaction Management: Lead legal support on customer, partner, and supplier transactions, including negotiations and contract development.Strategic Deal Advisory: Assistance on major strategic deals such as industry partnerships and joint ventures.Contracting & Dispute Resolution: Advise on material contract matters and support dispute resolution processes, including potential or active claims and litigations.Risk Mitigation: Contribute to long-term projects that address legal risks, privacy and compliance issues, ensuring alignment with business strategies.Training & Development: Prepare and deliver legal training to sales and support teams to enhance understanding of contractual and legal issues.EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTESExperience: At least 4 years of post-qualification commercial technology legal experience, either in private practice or in-house. Experience of the aviation sector or government departments is beneficial but is not essential.Positive and Collaborative: Exceptional communication skills to advise and influence key stakeholders across multiple regions.Self-Starter: Able to work independently, showing initiative to get tasks done
