OverviewThe VTO commentary team operates under Engineering within the Venue Technical Operations department. Working closely with the Broadcast System Commentary team, the focus is on planning venue commentary facilities, including extensive coordination, cooperation, and negotiation with the host city organizing committee, overseeing pre-Games venue commentary facilities installation, and providing operational support during the Games.Duties- Participate in cable path planning, cable estimation, and creating cable pull plans for installation teams.- Plan and create venue commentary equipment layout based on diverse venue conditions.- Perform indoor and outdoor venue surveys in the host city to measure and define venue status, foresee, and report potential commentary-related technical and operational issues.- Responsible for editing and maintaining team documents, such as power allocation sheets, cable spreadsheets, venue drawings, furniture allocation, fixtures, and electronics.- Participate in creating and monitoring project plans and task schedules, ensuring project deadlines are met.- Communicate and coordinate with the Host City Organizing Committee in fields of infrastructure, power, and technology.- Following OBS instructions, observe and inspect commentary facilities installation (e.g., commentary positions construction, broadcast power, cable containment, and technology services installation).- Work with multidisciplinary teams in multi-tasking indoor and outdoor environments.- Work daily with MS Office Excel and Word, Smartsheet, online reporting systems, PDF viewers, and DWG True View.- Review and understand venue infrastructure drawings.Experience- Experience in international event project planning and management.- Construction and onsite supervision/cooperation experience is desirable.- Olympic Games time operational experience is a plus.- Understanding of onsite sports event operation, live TV broadcast signal flow, and power configuration.- Willingness to learn, patience, and strong team spirit are absolutely required.- Strong communication, cooperation, and negotiation skills in a multicultural environment are a prerequisite.- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office Excel and Word; basic AutoCAD operation.- Positive work attitude, able to take initiative and operate independently.- Ability to adapt to a multicultural working environment.- Will be required to work in extreme weather conditions.- Ability to work with sudden issues and tasks; flexibility and adaptability are essential.- Willingness to travel when necessary.- Fluent or native English.Workplace & Environment- Fast-paced work environment.- Availability to travel required.- Subject to national/international criminal background checks.How to ApplyTo be considered for this opportunity, please submit your CV through this link.
