We are looking for a collector to support the DACH collection team.
In this dynamic and proactive role as a collector, you will take care of customer relation management; investigate issues that occur after sales and clarify mismatching payments with customers, accounting, and business. It is important to maintain customer accounts and good documentation and to follow up rigorously on payment reminders. Communication with our customers will occur mostly via telephone and email.
Your key objective will be to reduce the number of days our invoices are unpaid (days sales outstanding) and maintain the quality of the aging of invoices. As such, you will be driven to achieve a low percentage of overdue invoices in your client portfolio, the level of on-account payments, collections percentage, as well as asserting your influence on client payment behavior while ensuring compliance with Agilent Policies, Guidelines, and Business Conducts. This is a critical job to the organization as your responsibility may cover a portfolio of $12 million in receivables, covering approximately 350 customers. The quicker we get our invoices paid, the healthier the organization is. Your contribution has a direct impact on our business performance.

To be successful in this job, you should have a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economy, or similar with good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Experience working in the DACH (German-speaking) market is preferred together with an international background. You should feel comfortable talking to customers and working in a finance environment with an emphasis on quality and innovation. You should have good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Experience in customer service is needed; any experience in credit collections is positively valued. The candidate should be ready to go the extra mile, able to deal with occasional stress, and take on additional responsibilities.
