Research is organized in five programmes: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases; and Maternal, Child andReproductive Health.The Environment and Health over the Lifecourse research programme aims to conduct high-quality integrative research to expand knowledge on the causes and mechanisms of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Work in the programme ranges from local to national and global efforts in high and low-and-middle income countries, with international leadership in areas such as exposome, radiation, child health, cancer, and respiratory health research.
ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are seeking applicants for two full-time tenure-track assistant research professor positions in the field of non-communicable disease (NCD) epidemiology.
Applications are invited from dynamic researchers with experience in NCD epidemiology and demonstrated excellence and intellectual leadership.
The researcher is expected to develop a research group within the Environment and Health over the Lifecourse Programme.
The researcher should develop high-quality research to expand knowledge on the causes and mechanisms of NCDs development or progression in populations in high and low-medium income countries, with the ultimate goal to inform, improve, and promote interventions and policies for prevention of NCDs.
