Job DescriptionReporting to the Director of Club Operations or Club Services Managers or Club Supervisors, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceWelcome guests to the Health Club and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experienceMaintain the weight and cardiovascular fitness areas; ensuring equipment is clean, functioning properly, re-racked properly and used according to the guidelines of the facilityEnsure guest members are aware of all programs and fitness classes availableInstruct guests in use of equipment and provide basic fitness informationMaintain attendance records and ensure all guests have registered in the facilityAssist in promoting the facility and organize special events as requiredCollect soiled laundry in binsSort linenLoad washing machines & set for proper cyclesWash and dry loads of linensFold linen by hand and/or with folding machinesDistribute linens to locker room/pool deck/tennis towersMaintain sanitation, cleanliness, and supply stock of the public areas of the Club (ex: locker room, restrooms, lounge, coffee station, etc)Ensure shower stalls are free of debris and ready for useMaintain shower dispensersMonitor bathroom stalls for supplies and replenishMaintain vanity areas, hair dryers and all dispensersMaintain full knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure that they are followed for all incidents, accidents and emergency situationsRecord all Lost and Found articlesEnsure the Health Club area is clean and well maintainedFollow departmental policies and proceduresFollow all safety and sanitation policiesOther duties as assignedQualifications• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Previous experience in a Health Club preferred
Hourly Rate: 24.93 USD Gross per hour
Additional InformationPhysical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):
• Frequent walking and standing throughout shift
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
