About the role:We seek an experienced Senior Ruby Engineer for our client's quickly growing organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to join a robust team responsible for the creation and maintenance of our client's API and related infrastructure. As part of the Engineering team, you will report to a Team Lead. You will also be responsible for supporting customers with technical issues and assisting with their integrations.
Requirements:Role-based:Experience with Rails: You are an expert with Rails, preferably in a SaaS environment.Backend experience: You have been developing on the backend for at least 4 years.Domain expertise: You have good knowledge of front-end design, development, and testing. You understand your team's domain, as well as other team's domains. You also have an understanding of the challenges related to accessibility and localization.Documentation: You have a documentation mindset and understand when it is a good time to leave comments, but biases towards self-documenting code.Learns quickly: You have the ability to quickly absorb and make use of new information. You can research best practices and make use of them.Communication: You are able to clearly and succinctly communicate ideas and problems to teammates and to customers.Security lens: You are able to look for and recognize potential/actual security vulnerabilities within the code base.Enthusiastic: You want to learn and grow, and are excited to take on new challenges.Attention to detail: You do not let important details slip away and you do not slow or speed up a release.Prioritization & planning: You are a pro in planning, organizing, and scheduling in an efficient manner.
