The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Service Automation Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in HyperScaler cloud environments, with software engineering skills, as well as intermediate knowledge of networking specific knowledge with authentication and internet protocols such as DHCP, TCP/IP and DNS.
The Main Responsibilities Participate in meetings and conferences to gather requirements and discuss architectural decisions.
Work in an Agile environment.
Work on the Network Engineering, Design and Test Team to develop Cloud-centric automation enabling Highly reliable Operations Tools where data and compute functions reside within a Cloud environment (Google Cloud is the current targeted platform).
Focus on system automation, while acquiring further networking skills as they relate to Access Technologies such as xDSL, GPON, XGS-PON, future 50G-PON as well as Residential Gateways.
What We Look For in a Candidate English proficiency (C1/C2).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems or related field or the equivalent in training and experience.
4+ years' experience with cloud service platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and tools such as Google Cloud Log Explorer and data analytics tools.
Programming skills in languages such as Perl, Python as well as skills specific to writing test automation.
Experience with JIRA and/or other software project management tools.
Experience with JSON REST APIs and familiarity with Postman or other API design platform such as Apigee and/or Swagger.
Familiarity with network services.
Intermediate experience with traditional server-based Network Management Systems (NMS) is a bonus.
Intermediate experience with any Access technologies (xDSL, GPON, XGS-PON) as well as Residential Gateway (RG) Configuration.
Strong attention to details and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities with a desire to work in a collaborative culture.
