The RoleLumen is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Network Services Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Hyperscale cloud environments, with software engineering skills, as well as intermediate knowledge of networking specific knowledge with authentication and internet protocols such as DHCP, DNS and Radius.
The Main ResponsibilitiesParticipate in meetings and conferences to gather requirements and discuss architectural decisions.Work in an Agile environment.Assist the Subscriber Management/BRAS Team in designing network functions within a Cloud environment (Google Cloud is the targeted platform).Translate existing bare metal hosted environments to a cloud-based system, for handling network service functions such as Radius and DNS, as well as future considerations of Virtual BNG, DHCP in the Cloud, and Walled Garden functions.What We Look For in a CandidateEnglish proficiency (C1/C2).Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems or related field or the equivalent in training and experience.4+ years' experience in Cloud service platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and tools such as Google Cloud Log Explorer and data analytics tools.3 years of scripting language development experience (bash, ksh, csh, etc.).Experience with one or more languages, such as Python, Perl, or similar.Experience with Databases and how best to host these in a cloud environment. Skills with LMDB and LDAP are recommended.Familiarity with big data technologies (BigQuery, Mongo, SQL, Kafka) is a plus.Familiarity with network services including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Radius.Intermediate experience with traditional server-based Network Management Systems (NMS) is a bonus.Requisition #: 335629
