Context of the Position : We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cloud architect to join our DevOps team.
This role is critical in managing and optimizing our multi-cloud environment, specifically AWS and Azure.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure management, security best practices, cost optimization, and governance to ensure our cloud environments are secure, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
It is a role that will have team leadership in the short term.

Cloud Infrastructure Management : Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on mainly AWS.
Implement best practices for high availability, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
Optimize performance, ensuring minimal downtime and proper resource tagging for cost tracking.
Governance & Cost Management : Establish frameworks for resource management and cost control.
Optimize costs using strategies like right-sizing and reserved instances, and enforce policies to prevent resource sprawl.
Automation & Orchestration : Use IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automate tasks with Ansible, Chef, etc.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and use scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Monitoring & Incident Response : Manage cloud monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus).
Develop incident response plans and conduct regular audits.
Collaboration & Documentation : Collaborate with teams to meet application and security needs.
Document infrastructure and provide training on cloud best practices.
Stay updated with new cloud technologies.
? What we are looking for : Experience : - 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on AWS.
Knowledge in Azure it is also neccesary.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing cloud security, governance, and cost management practices in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar.
- Extensive experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Team leadership or management roles Languages : - Fluent English Technical Skills : - In-depth knowledge of AWS services.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, security groups, key management, encryption, and network security.
- Experience with cloud networking, including VPNs, VPCs, Azure VNets, load balancers, DNS, and routing.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, integrating them with cloud environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Expertise in cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK Stack, or similar.
Soft Skills : - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
