Company DescriptionAs part of the Cloud Operations and Platform Services Unit (OPDA), the consultant will be responsible for delivering AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud technical expertise, including implementation and ongoing support of AWS solutions for supporting the Cloud Cost operations.The Cloud Team is composed of Azure, AWS, and GCP Engineers providing Platform and Cloud Operational Support to internal and external UN clients.The team is mainly located in Valencia and Offshore/Nearshore locations.Job DescriptionRequired Profile:Minimum 3 years of experience with AWS Cloud Platform.It is expected that the consultant has at least two years of relevant IT experience with significant exposure to AWS services.The consultant will work under the supervision of the Cloud Operations Lead.Duties of Consultant:Administration and support of AWS solutions, with a focus on IaaS and PaaS.Work in the deployment and support of cloud platforms and infrastructures.Work in close collaboration with the remaining cloud teams in the operational activities, by taking ownership of AWS related technologies.Work in close collaboration with other technical teams including Information Security, Development, Service Management, etc.Draft technical documentation on the AWS services and related procedures and operations.Keep abreast of AWS good practices, new trends, and services technologies and evaluate these for possible adoption or incorporation.Work with the other Cloud Cost focal points to provide Cost Control, Cost Optimization, and Cloud Billing services to our clients.Maintain the data platform (based on AWS Athena SQL) to enable cloud billing.Required Soft Skills:Effective customer-facing and oral/presentation skills.Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing creative solutions for technical issues.Ability to write documentation & reports.Conflict management & cooperation.QualificationsRequired Technical Skills:The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:Understanding of AWS service structure (organizations, accounts & projects) plus AWS core features.Sound conceptual and hands-on knowledge of key AWS IaaS and PaaS services (compute, networking, storage, databases, and containers).Hands-on experience on Infrastructure as Code and Automation (Terraform, Shell scripting, AWS Automation).Hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud security.Experience in SQL modeling and queries.Knowledge of general architecture, deployment and administration methodologies and techniques including systems configurations, clustering, networking, OS administration (Windows/Linux), monitoring, security, etc.Strong troubleshooting skills.The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience:Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps tools (Bitbucket, Gitlab, Pipelines, Repos).Hands-on experience in managing Landing Zones.Understanding of DevSecOps principles.Knowledge of cloud-based identity management.Configuration management tooling like Ansible.Additional InformationRequired certifications: AWS Certification(s).Desired certifications: ITIL certification, FinOps certification.Teleworking Option: Available.
