Summarized Purpose: As a Contracts Manager, you will serve as a regional lead in managing the preparation, negotiation and finalization of contract templates, process, and negotiation parameters (including contractual terms and conditions, and ancillary documents), and oversight of associated investigator grant budget(s), with an assigned workload of clients. You will ensure quality, objectivity, and risk analysis in the efficient delivery of contract templates, process, and negotiation parameters.
Responsibilities: Help influence the outcome of negotiations and ensure conformity to business needs, proper risk allocation and compliance with the policies and procedures of the pharma services group. Be a principled negotiator willing to stand up to unprincipled techniques and pressures. Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers providing direction and guidance related to the contracting process. Negotiate contentious issues at multiple levels both internally and with the customer's negotiation team keeping risk exposure in mind. Generate creative options to break through negotiation impasses that work for all parties. Strive to make the contracting process more efficient, effective, and customer centric. Follow and help improve the tools used to ensure consistency of the negotiation process and ensure maximum situational awareness for all internal stakeholders throughout the contract process to improve turnaround times to an increasing client base. Maintain and utilize the database within the contract management system of current and terminated contracts and coordinate processes to track contract flow and contractual obligations. Serve as liaison between the client and the manufacturing sites and business units during the negotiation phase of a project.
