At Zurich, we are committed to enhancing climate resilience for our commercial customers in a rapidly changing world.Your core responsibility in this role is to deploy our proposition to your market, achieve our vertical financial objectives, and support in the development of new products and services based on market trends and regulatory demands.As the ZRS Country Climate Resilience Head, your main responsibilities will involve:Scope the market and use relevant data to identify and acquire potential customers.Support the global C&SS team in the development of new services, e.G., assessment of biodiversity risks, urban resilience assessments, nature-based solutions.Identify market and regulatory trends related to climate risk and sustainability reporting.Consult customers in analyzing and communicating natural hazards and climate change-related physical and operational risks, as well as developing risk adaptation solutions.Develop and grow a local Climate Resilience team to meet market demand.Contribute to events, technical committees, etc., to establish ZRS as a market leader in climate and sustainability solutions.How do you know you fit in?
Here are the qualifications:Have a business mindset with exceptional technical skills to develop the business in the local market.Master's Degree in natural/environmental/atmospheric science, engineering, or sustainability-related discipline, with at least 5 years of experience in a consultancy role (preferably outside the insurance sector).Extensive knowledge of sustainability and climate risk regulatory frameworks.An understanding of climate change science and its practical application.Experience in consulting services or a commercial mindset with an ability to identify opportunities for providing services and a strong customer service orientation.Excellent project management, coordination, and communication skills.A team player.Proficient in written and spoken English at a technical level with strong customer service orientation.
Any other language is an asset.Good knowledge of practical engineering and organizational protection measures for natural hazards and Climate Resilience.The ability to communicate complicated concepts in a clear and compelling manner to all levels of management and stakeholders of various levels of technical proficiency.At Zurich, we love to live life to the fullest.
