Reporting to the Brand Design Director in our Internal Creative Agency, the Client Service & Ops Manager maximizes design impact through effective leadership, operational efficiency, financial control, and a client-focused approach.
?? What will your day-to-day work be like?
- Strategic Planning & Leadership:
Department Vision & Strategy: Develop and implement a clear vision and long-term strategic plan for the design departments, aligning with the overall business goals.
Team Leadership & Development: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the design management team, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment. Recruit, hire, and retain top talent, ensuring the team has the skills and resources to achieve strategic objectives.
Performance Management: Establish clear performance goals and metrics for the team, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
- Operational Efficiency & Project Management:
Process Improvement & Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient design workflows and processes that maximize productivity and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
Resource Management: Allocate resources (staff, budget, technology) effectively to meet project needs and department goals.
Project Management Oversight: Oversee project management practices, ensuring best practices are followed to maintain project timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction.
- Financial Management & Budgeting:
Budget Development & Monitoring: Develop and manage the department's budget.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports to track department performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
Cost Control & Vendor Management: Implement strategies for cost control and negotiate favorable rates with vendors for design software, equipment, and other resources.
- Client Focus & Communication:
Understanding Client Needs: Collaborate with designers and account managers to understand the needs of internal clients and ensure design solutions effectively address those needs.
Communication & Stakeholder Management: Maintain open and transparent communication with internal stakeholders (e.g., senior management, other departments) on project progress, design decisions, and potential roadblocks.
- Technology & Innovation:
Technology Evaluation & Implementation: Evaluate and implement new design software, hardware, and other technologies to enhance team efficiency and design capabilities.
Staying Informed on Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends in design technology, business practices, and client needs to keep the design department competitive and innovative.
?? Who is the ideal candidate for this position?
The ideal person for this strategic global role will bring excellent project management skills, ability to work under pressure and objectives; innovative, motivational and inspirational leader with a focus on people development and excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Bachelor of Arts, Design or similar.
- Senior professional background with at least 5-7 years of experience in a similar position, in creative agencies, production companies or production agency.
Ideally experience in the hospitality industry or with clients of the sector.
- Experience with project management and organization tools.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Willingness to travel.
