This employment opportunity is for joining our HAPS aircraft development team.
You will be a part of a small, dedicated team facing an exciting aircraft design challenge.What is the role?
As a key player in our team, you will implement and optimize the design and manufacturing processes needed for developing mechanical assemblies and structures for our HAPS aircraft.
You'll collaborate closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams, as well as our suppliers.
You will be responsible for designing prototypes and flight-worthy aircraft components.
You will take responsibility and work directly with a senior engineer for developing clean sheet engineering designs from the conceptual, manufacturing, to the testing stages.Responsibilities:Implement and optimize design and manufacturing processes for mechanical assemblies and structures.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams and suppliers.Design prototypes and flight-worthy aircraft components.Work with a senior engineer on clean sheet engineering designs.Requirements:BS/MS in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in designing prototypes and products through full design cycles, manufacturing, and testing processes.Practical and creative problem-solving abilities for engineering design problems.Experience with design for manufacturing methodologies.General aircraft engineering knowledge and best practices.Experience in designing mechanical assemblies, tooling, and fixtures.Knowledge of composite structures manufacturing and assembly.Proficiency in parameterized CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, NX, Solidworks).Proficiency with structural hand calculations.Creating and interpreting manufacturing drawings (GD&T).#J-18808-Ljbffr
