Assist and support Manager Accounting-Tax Compliance Team and Supervisors in the Spain Statutory team with audit and tax related matters related to the Spanish business operations of MVWC's legal entities as this position is part of the Audit, Tax, and Compliance (ATC) Team for Spain.
This position's responsibilities will include performing all tasks in a strong control environment.
Work together with Finance and Audit, Tax, and Compliance (ATC) Team for Spain.CRITICAL TASKSJob FunctionsAssist, prepare and provide accurate complete supporting documentation for the audit for the 3 Spanish entities.Assist with the Intercompany (IC) transactions processes including Transfer Pricing validations and documentation, IC recharges including invoice back-up and analysis of all services.Provide supporting documentation and back up for the Corporate Income Tax filing.Prepare / review and submit weekly VAT information to comply with SII (Immediate Supply of Information) requirements.Prepare and assist with the completion of Spain 349 returns (intra-community), VAT returns, withholding tax returns, Intrastat, Ecotasa (Eco Tax) returns and other tax declarations on a monthly basis.Prepare and submit statistical returns required by the Spanish public organisations.Assist with and prepare information required for local taxes.Ensure that the guidance and instructions from Supervisors in the ATC team, Manager Accounting Tax Compliance and Associate Director Statutory Tax are followed.
Any necessary corrections are made in a timely manner and processes updated to eliminate any errors.Work together with Supervisors in the ATC team, Manager Accounting Tax Compliance and Associate Director Statutory Tax on any special requirements or projects as required.Assure the maintenance of a strong control environment, with complete adherence to internal controls and SOPs.Assist, prepare and provide any documentation that might be required for internal and external audits and control assessments to help meet all tax and statutory requirements.Provide holiday cover for members of the Spain statutory team.Work in collaboration with other departments, on-site and off-site, internal and external to MVCI to improve processes, procedures controls to achieve the main goals described above.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.Safety and SecurityReport work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).Policies and ProceduresProtect the privacy and security of coworkers.Ensure compliance with nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.Follow company and department policies and procedures.Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.Other Department related dutiesAssist in other areas of the Statutory department as and where required.Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the department or as instructed by Management.Be punctual and wear the name tag and professional dress at all times during working hours.Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met.Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.Comply with MVWC policies and procedures.Be proactive and have a flexible approach to work, meeting the needs of the team and the business at all times.Maintain an attitude and commitment to provide excellent service to all customers and associates.Respond sensitively to the needs and feelings of others, regardless of status or position;
