We are looking for a number of Claims Handlers to join our market leading, lawyer led claims handling service in our CSG team.
These roles will be situated in Newport (South Wales) and offer hybrid working, where you will be asked to come into the office 3 times a week.
We have permanent and fixed term contracts available on a full time basis (especially suitable for students who may be looking for placement opportunities).
Who you'll be working with?
Our specialism is working with in the retail and consumer sector; handling claims arising from the operation of motor fleets as well as the casualty claims arising from retail operations.
We work with a range of corporate and insurer clients and are proud to act for household names and to work with major UK retailers.
We are a team of over 60 working across two locations in Newport (South Wales) and Leeds.

Who you are?
You do not need to have prior experience as a Claims Handler or a legal qualification in order to apply, we are happy to hear from those with customer service/retail experience and/or school leavers or graduates who are team players and have the passion for learning.
You will have: IT skills - Be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Prioritisation and Organisation Skills - the ability to structure your time well, prioritise work effectively and recognise when to ask for help.
Interpersonal skills - communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues on the phone and in person.
Analytical skills - The ability to critically look at factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply the same.
Commercial sense - The ability to know the principle or law but also know when is it worth pursuing it.
Resilience - The ability to stand your ground in a telephone negotiation and to receive feedback.
Commitment and enthusiasm - with a professional attitude.
Aptitude to learn – The ability to retain knowledge and implement new skills showing initiative to use available resources to problem solve.

What you will do?
You are expected to provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to our clients in the management of claims.
Depending on your role, and with the support of a supervisor and team manager you will be expected to: Be responsible for a varied caseload of volume pre-litigated work.
Review claims assessing who's at fault and the level of compensation within authority limits.
Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards.
Maintain contact with our clients and their Customers whilst proactively managing their expectations.
Meet individual performance measures (financial and quality performance measures).
Ensure that the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained.
