About the role: The Claims Handler will support the manager in handling Italian claims related to different lines of business: Marine, Property, and Liability, emanating from a Japanese portfolio. The candidate will report to the Deputy Claims Manager in Belgium, with the office based in Barcelona. Key Responsibilities: Handling P&C Marine claims for Japanese business as follows: Collecting the whole documentation provided by brokers or clients; Checking the wording for assessing the coverage; Appointing a surveyor if necessary; Informing the manager of any development; Preparing the settlement proposal; Recording all the data in different systems and databases; Collaborating with colleagues in different departments & business partners. Skills And Competencies Required: University degree At least 2+ years of previous experience in the insurance industry Experience in the Italian market Native proficiency in Italian and fluent in English Good knowledge of Excel and databases Commitment to precision with a strong focus on detail-oriented and methodological approach Experience working within an international environment Skills And Competencies Preferred: Professional proficiency in Spanish The Tokio Marine HCC Group of Companies offers a competitive salary and employee benefit package.
