TasksPerform detailed structural and structural/thermal analyses and sizing of aerospace structures components and systemsGuide structural optimization and design improvementsDeliver detailed FEM Models used for analysis from GFEM to detailed analysisDefine sizing loads and load cases required for scoping detailed analysisDeliver preliminary sizing calculations hand calculations and simplified estimates to inform the designSupport ground and flight testsDeliver detailed technical reports and presentationsAssist in the development of manufacturing integration and test processes and proceduresSupport the definition and execution of the qualification and certification process RequirementsBS/MS in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline8-10 years of experience as an aerospace stress engineerFEM experience with Nastran from building models to analysis postprocessing debuggingExperienced with stress hand calculation/analytical methodsExperience with both metallic and composite lightweight structural design for aerospaceExperience with Flight and Ground Loads Structural requirements Calculations and reporting in the frame of aerospace regulations/certification standardsExperience with MatlabStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of the English language is required.
