Learn more about the area: Wholesale Credit Financial Institutions is the team responsible, within the area of Corporate and Investment Banking, for analyzing financial systems, the entities that compose them (banks, insurers, and funds), assigning a rating, and establishing the risk appetite with them on a global level.
You will join a team of 10 people where staying updated on markets, regulations, and products that may affect the sectors is essential to manage risk with these types of clients/counterparties and understand the impact for BBVA, contributing to healthy and profitable business growth.
About the job: As a risk analyst for the financial segment, the main responsibilities of the position include: Analysis and preparation of risk proposals in terms of limits for presentation to the committee, summarized in the Financial Program.
For this, you will conduct an analysis of the banking industry (by country), the individual credit profile of each entity, internal rating calculation, and definition of limits/maximum risk appetite by product.
Fluid communication with different business areas to address risk needs prior to committee approval.
Additionally, there is fluid communication with other credit risk teams in the geographies, who are in turn interlocutors with local business teams.
Additionally, you will participate in cross-disciplinary projects, such as the development and implementation of the New Internal Rating Model, which will be a priority topic in 2025.
Qualifications: Higher degree in Business Administration/Finance, preferably studied in English.
Experience studying a semester at an international university, preferably in English, is positively valued.
Previous experience of 1 year (including internship) in a Credit Risk Management department in a top-level Financial Entity, focusing on financial analysis of financial entities (banks, insurance, and/or funds) is required.
Advanced English level (minimum C1) is required, and additional languages (B2) are valued.
Knowledge of the following office tools is required: PowerPoint (medium), Excel (advanced), Capital IQ Pro (Proficiency), and Python (Intermediate).
