FertigHy is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to support the company in becoming a global champion of green nitrogen-based fertilizer production, starting with a first site in Spain and very quickly moving to other sites in France and elsewhere within Europe. This ambitious initiative will enable and accelerate the decarbonization of the food value chain.The RoleThe CTO will be the technology heart of the company, reporting directly to the CEO. As the CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the technological strategy and development of our green fertilizer manufacturing operations, a strategic plan that will attract and contribute to convincing potential investors.You will collaborate closely with the executive team to ensure the successful implementation of our vision and mission. Your role will involve designing, optimizing, and scaling up our production processes, evaluating new technologies, and building a high-performing and diverse technical team. You should have a strong background in chemical engineering, experience in the fertilizer industry, and a passion for sustainable solutions.You are responsible for the technical roadmap and realization of the first industrial plant (construction and operation phases). You will lead our technical collaborations with internal and external stakeholders including distributors & suppliers, energy providers, and system integrators, and you will also ensure permitting processes and compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.ResponsibilitiesProcess Design and OptimizationTechnical Team LeadershipResearch and DevelopmentRegulatory Compliance and Environmental SustainabilityMinimum RequirementsA Bachelor's or a Master's degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
