As a result, we're looking for a customer service-driven, commercially astute and innovative technical leader to help us achieve our strategic goals. Reporting to the CEO, this is a unique, 'work from anywhere' role that will offer you fantastic challenges and opportunities to drive technical excellence across Moodle's global internal operations.
This role can be based anywhere in Europe.
What the role looks likeAs a highly experienced technical leader, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring the resilience, security and scalability of our business's technical ecosystem, fostering innovation and aligning technical initiatives with Moodle's goals.Guiding the future direction of our data and cybersecurity strategies.Attracting, developing and leading a high performance team.Overseeing the operations of our InfoSec, ICT DevOps and DataOps teams globally.Participating as a member of our senior leadership team, providing input into and supporting achievement of company goals and strategic objectives.This is a brand new position which will evolve over time, allowing for future growth and the opportunity to make your own mark.
We'd love to meet youEspecially if you can talk to us about your:
Extensive experience in senior leadership roles within technology organisations, preferably in an open-source environment, with a proven track record of success in managing globally distributed teams.Understanding of, and appreciation for, open source technologies and their usage in corporate environments.Technical experience in cybersecurity, data management, cloud computing, virtualisation and hosting infrastructure.Experience in translating strategic plans into technology strategy and roadmaps.Advanced people leadership experience and communication skills, with the ability to develop and inspire high performance, and promote a strong workplace culture.An understanding of Moodle and the Moodle ecosystem would be a bonus!What's in it for you?Moodle has a globally diverse team with over 280 team members in more than 25 countries around the world.
