We are on a mission to reach new heights by making space more accessible, supporting missions that will make us smarter, safer and wealthier.Our purpose is to propel new futures, to enable progress from space and enrich peoples' lives on Earth, by moving new economies, people and world forward.MissionAs a Chief Product Quality and System Reliability Officer, your main mission will be to be responsible for all aspects of the Product Quality and System Reliability as well as the development and management of teams and providing support and guidance on the manufacturing and assembly or our launch vehicles.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the engineering and manufacturing teams through product development and production to create quality plans for building and manufacturing which includes all prototypes for testing.Reviewing and reporting on the manufacturability of our products.Reporting and modification of failures/lessons learned.Develop, implement and validate product and processes through tests and inspections ensuring the quality and criteria are consistently met.Design and conduct build quality reviews to ensure that design intent is achieved and well-communicated.Identify opportunities for risk reduction and removal of complexity in designs.Identify opportunities to improve processes and manufacturability, collaborating with different teams to find simple solutions.Record and investigate failures in production, test and flight, identifying and mitigating the immediate and underlying root causes in order to reduce risk and improve reliability of designs and processes.Contain suspect or known non-conforming product, providing guidance to quality inspectors, technicians, team leaders and engineers to assist in quarantining and rework activities.Support the plant floor in continuous improvement and the advancement the creation of a Lean, autonomous production system.Establish and create standard rework/repair guides, removal of redundant or unnecessary processes, and improve control and optimization of critical processes.Necessary RequirementsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or other related fields.10+ years in a manufacturing, quality and/or design engineering role.Experience with troubleshooting.Ability to handle confidential information.Driven to deliver and constantly push the boundaries and take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes.Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills.Ability to influence people, build trust and establish effective working relationships within an international team environment.Experience with very fast-growing industrial organizations.Fluent in English and Spanish would be a plus.Desired RequirementsHard workload capacity and high availability.International expertiseLegal/contracts management (mainly providers and subcontractors).Leadership skillsInterpersonal skillsExcellent communication skillsProblem-solving oriented and decision making orientedEnthusiastic contributorRisk anticipation and mitigation orientedTalent developerBenefitsHealth & Wellness: We want you to be happy and healthy in body and mind.
