YOUR ROLE: We are looking for a strong Chief Operations Officer, based in Barcelona, who will be part of the Cluster Management Team and responsible for the areas of Maritime Operations, Intermodal, Equipment, Customs, and Claims. You will lead a strong team of 70 people, improving customer experience, efficiency, and departmental profits while managing the company's overall operations and costs in Spain and Portugal for both CMA CGM and Containerships. You will need to be a driver and role model in the Management Team and in the Cluster to drive the Iberica Five Pillars (see below) and help achieve the goal of becoming the Best Cluster in the World.

Maritime Operations: Ensure optimum operation of the service to ships and transmission of information to the authorities and departments involved.
Intermodal and Equipment: Consolidate and maintain a network of suppliers and services to offer added value to the company, maximizing quality and minimizing costs while driving the CH ratio and particularly the rail ratio higher. Ensure equipment availability based on close cooperation with Sales, Trade, and HO.
Customs: Coordinate the correct declaration of import and export summaries to customs, establishing declaration deadlines. Keep informed about new regulations and communications to avoid penalties.
Claims: Ensure a role as a legal adviser to conclude projects in compliance with applicable regulations and Group policy; prevent risks and defend the interests of the Group through legal watch and management of judicial, extra-judicial claims, and partnership agreements.
Costs: Drive and participate in negotiations with suppliers to obtain the most competitive costs while considering quality; terminals, Port Authorities, transport providers, and depots.
YOU BRING ABOARD: Operations and shipping industry experience and leadership experience of at least 10 years.
