Zinia leverages the technological resources and expertise of Openbank, the digital-native bank of the Santander Group, which is currently rolling out its international expansion plans. Through a simple and flexible banking model, Openbank offers customers the possibility to manage their finances on the website or app.
Mission
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key leadership role responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the organization. Works closely with the CEO and other senior leadership to develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, drive profitability, and ensure seamless execution of the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement operational plans to achieve business goals.
Perform data analysis and identify areas for operational improvement.
Partner with senior leadership to define and prioritize business strategies.
Operations Management:
Oversee and optimize daily operations through KPIs and dashboards.
Manage and coordinate production processes, defining pathways leading to efficiency.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency in performance.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives and discuss them with the senior management regularly.
IT and Innovation:
Ensure the effective implementation and utilization of technology systems. Adaption to regulatory implications on operational resilience of the technology in use.
Frame the IT infrastructure and security within the parameters of the company. Create and implement policies for the operational management of the assets in place (SDLC, Cybersecurity, Obsolescence management, Recovery plans, Data Protection).
Participate in the technology innovation initiatives to evaluate fitting with operational procedures and strategic goals.
Risk Management:
Identify, measure and manage potential operational risks arising from the activities of the company. Special focus on evaluation of threats such as fraud and other loss sources. Define plans and implement procedures for appropriate mitigation of these.
Develop and implement contingency and disaster recovery plans. Evaluate scenarios, measure business impacts and create action plans. Perform regular tests to check its feasibility and negotiate alternative solutions to operate in case of disruption.
Marketing support:
Closely work with the leadership to support and facilitate the business plans and agreements with partners. Evaluate the implications of new business and products to the operational aspects of the company.
Define strategies and processes to facilitate best customer experience, leverage of the company's strengths and ways to gain competition capabilities.
Based on in depth analytics and testing, promote better integration of end to end processes to bring competitive solutions to the market.
Evaluate pain points and hiccups in the transactional interactions, in order to design and implement solutions that contributes to turnover and profitability.
To be successful in the role you must have:
+12 years of professional experience in a similar role.
University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related fields.
Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
High level of English. Other languages would be a plus (German, Italian, French).
