We are seeking to hire a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will be responsible for Catholic Charities' visionary leadership, strategic direction, and all aspects of organizational operations including program development, fundraising, financial management, and staff leadership.
Catholic Charities is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation serving central New Mexico and is a member of Catholic Charities USA, one of the largest non-profit human services networks in the United States.
We are dedicated to finding solutions to some of the most pressing social challenges that individuals, children, and families face, regardless of race, religion, country of origin, disabilities, gender, age, or sexual orientation.
We serve individuals and families throughout Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, and Santa Fe counties with a broad spectrum of services geared towards reducing poverty, improving personal opportunity, and encouraging opportunities for service.
With 85 staff members and over 200 volunteers, our agency has been working to create hope for those in need for over 75 years.
Although grounded in Catholic Social Teachings and inspired by faith, Catholic Charities provides services to those in need regardless of belief or background.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the leader and primary spokesperson for Catholic Charities and its affiliates and/or subsidiaries.
This position identifies and pursues strategic opportunities to increase the profile of Catholic Charities among current and potential funders, partners (corporations and grant entities), and policymakers.
The CEO monitors fiscal processes, resource development, and grants administration.
The CEO facilitates opportunities for program growth and development.
The CEO directs and supervises staff and contractors, monitors, and evaluates the agency program results for compliance with national standards, and provides technical assistance to the Board of Directors in fulfilling its governance function.
All work will be performed in faithful conformance to Biblical values, the social teaching of the Catholic Church, and the Code of Canon Law.
Qualifications:M.A., M.B.A., or M.S.
in counseling, social work, human services, public administration, business, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible organizational leadership experience is required; preferably in a nonprofit, social services, or related field.
In addition, experience working with a board of directors is a must.
Familiarity with and a strong commitment to Catholic social teaching and the multi-cultural community of New Mexico.
Must effectively allocate time for developing, coaching, and mentoring senior leaders and employees in key roles.
Compensation/Benefits:Pay salary is negotiable, DOE.
