DAZN is aiming to become the ultimate global sports entertainment platform. The strategy is to expand its Top-of-the-funnel offering globally, bringing sports content and entertainment to fans all over the world - to drive brand awareness, loyalty, frequency and retention.
As Chief Editor across that Top of the Funnel proposition, you will work under the VP Content Proposition, publishing and merchandising the content, organising the app across multiple territories and ensuring the best experience of the DAZN app for all customers.
You will require a strong knowledge of a variety of sports, from European Football to Combat to Motorsports and more. You will work alongside all our Global chief editors to co-ordinate the TOTF proposition to drive success. This key role carries responsibility for writing headlines, composing/editing descriptions, and selecting imagery for all live events and non-live content, identifying key events and content to target new customers in an impactful and engaging way. You will also be responsible for editorial maintenance of the app both on the front and back end. Accuracy is key.
This role can be based in Spain (Madrid) or the UK (Hammersmith, Leeds) with a combination of in-office and hybrid working.
As our new Chief Editor - Top of the Funnel, you'll have the opportunity to: Implement TOTF strategy to make DAZN app the ultimate sports destination product for all content consumption, betting & e-commerce.
Ensure all customer-facing channels & content is editorially and commercially aligned with TOTF objectives, ensuring content is accessible, discoverable and presented in the best way to maximise engagement.
Work with global platform teams to align on TOTF strategy and assist them in implementing the approach, providing governance across TOTF approach.
Help drive the DAZN News strategy to improve acquisition & engagement.
Work closely with Rights Acquisition to ensure new content is considered and presented to all authorised and unauthorised users across our platforms.
Run weekly and monthly schedule on Free to Air events to help enable Marketing and CRM strategy around promotion of these live events.
Run Analytics across engagement to help drive strategy.
You'll have: A strong editorial background.
Editorial and commercial experience working in the sports broadcast.
Experience and ability to present to senior leads in the business, with data-backed insights.
Experience using Business Intelligence software, including Tableau and Looker.
Experience running OTT output.
Extremely strong attention to detail.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
A strong eye for engaging imagery and headlines.
