Chief Consultant Advisory – Wind Turbine and ElectricalFull-timeOverview As our new Wind Turbine Chief Consultant, you will be part of our global Offshore Wind Advisory team. You will engage with various stakeholders supporting project development across all stages, from early conceptual design until project execution and package management. You will support in shaping and enhancing our service deliverables. You will also play a pivotal role in the support of the development, design, installation, and commissioning of wind turbine electrical systems for wind energy projects. Leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering and renewable energy, you will contribute to the development and optimization of wind farm projects and wind turbine systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Your tasks and responsibilities As part of the Offshore Wind Advisory team, you will both be part of multidisciplinary project teams, which deliver international offshore wind projects of varied complexity, as well as part of our Wind Turbine technology-dedicated team, which takes on diverse tasks and responsibilities in developing Ramboll's knowledge and services. Your responsibilities will include:
Support and lead relevant working packages for the wind turbine scopes, ensuring adherence to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards; allowing our clients to identify the most suitable technical concept as per the corresponding site conditions, local market conditions (e.g., localization requirements) and their risk appetite.Provide expert guidance and strategic advice in all areas within the wind turbine scope, especially wind turbine electrical systems. This includes supporting our clients in shaping winning strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address complex technical challenges.Deliver on technical due diligence assignments in support of large and complex finance transitions, taking responsibility over the wind turbine scope.Project roles in the wind turbine package within our Owner's Engineer service deliveries, with responsibility over package interfaces, programme, risk, and change management processes, managing and supporting a multidisciplinary project team.Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of systems during project execution of wind turbine projects.Support and lead the technical preparation, coordination, and management of the wind turbine scope tendering processes, in collaboration with external stakeholders and our clients. This may include review of offers and their subsequent technical evaluation.Support standardisation processes and initiatives across the Offshore Wind Advisory Team, with the aim to develop and improve standard and modular technical requirements for the contracting of the wind turbine scope in international projects. Prepare technical specifications, manuals, and operating procedures to support project documentation requirements and facilitate knowledge transfer. Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to the activities.Provide training and mentorship to project team members, subcontractors, and field personnel through fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in wind projects; wind turbine electrical system design, installation, and commissioning experience would be an advantage.Extensive experience in offshore wind project development, execution, and operation within a project developer organisation or in an Owner's Engineer role.Profound industry knowledge and an understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks, and commercial aspects of offshore wind farm development.Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.Experience in negotiating complex construction contracts would be beneficial.Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated to offshore construction projects.Strong writing and communication skills in English; additional languages are beneficial.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, team environment.Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions that promote / advance company goals and objectives.Track record of presenting technical options to clients, ideally including evaluation of options on cost basis.How to apply Apply online.
