At ING we are looking for a Challenger for the Engineer Platform Tribe Your role and work environment: We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Challenger to join our Transformation team within the COO.
The Challenger will work from leadership level to squad level to boost the team's high performance, ensuring cross-tribe standardization of the competencies of People's Development and engagement practices. Your key responsibilities: As a Challenger: Challenge leaders of the tribe to continue developing and raising the bar of the team in alignment with the strategy of the bank. Increase value delivered by ensuring the way teams work from ideas to backlog. Support the tribe to boost continuous improvement: coaching the implementation of people, transformation, and WoW agendas. Support the leadership in the talent and capabilities development of the tribe: supporting hirings, onboardings, OKR and step-up processes, off-boardings, and updating the capacity map.
Map knowledge and capabilities. Ensure the engagement cycle, and help the teams and leaders be aware and be their best version in every stage. Up-skill transformational competencies and enable CoPs (Communities of Practice). Participate in leadership reflections about the set-up of the teams and foster initiatives coming from the People's team. Collaborate in the design phase of HR initiatives that are connected to the tribe's (Next Gen). Deploy transformational programs from productivity accelerators or other initiatives. Knowledge and Skills: Motivated and keen to learn about transformation and innovation by doing. Proven experience fostering continuous improvement in areas and squads. Proven experience developing people skills. Engagement practices knowledge and experience. Experience leading Scrum/Kanban squads (desirable). Scrum, Kanban and Scaling Frameworks Certification (Desirable). Coaching Certification (Desirable). Facilitation Certification (Desirable). Agile Leadership Certification (Desirable). Design Thinking and Lean Start-up (Desirable). Gamification Certification (Desirable). Soft Skills: Deep emotional intelligence to successfully impact transformation, by choosing proficiently the best role depending on the specific team/individual situation: Teacher, Mentor, Facilitator, Coach, Change-Agent or Domain Specific expert. Strong communication skills: Talks, Conferences, Training, One to One, etc. Ability to add value on all layers and units: especially at management layer, but always keeping in mind the rest of the layers (Human Resource, legal, Risks, Business, IT…). Ability to influence key stakeholders. Proactive attitude, openness, and courage in action. Strong personal productivity skills (GTD Desirable). CIO knowledge (Desirable).
