Position: CG Supervisor You will oversee the needs of the show, facing support and coordination, partnering with the TD Supervisor and VFX Supervisor.
Responsibilities: Partner with TD Supervisors and VFX Supervisors in solving both short and long-term production strategies. Actively contribute to the design and implementation of workflow tools and procedures within the new developing production pipeline. Work closely with the department supervisors to best coordinate the movement of data between departments and through the entire production pipeline. Continually offer guidance and solutions to the Show's department supervisors. Identify and address areas within the pipeline that need skill and knowledge leveling. Collaborate with CG Supervisors of other productions to transfer workflow and pipeline knowledge throughout the studio. Provide guidance and solutions to the production and technology teams based on their working knowledge of the existing pipeline. Review, validate, and provide feedback on the solutions delivered by studio technology in the context of the production needs. Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor and TD team on technical and workflow design and strategy for the assigned departments/sequences, leading internal tech meetings. Prioritize technical developments with other CG Supervisors and TD Supervisors. Troubleshoot issues and tickets, pushing inventory for creative reviews. Partner with the TD team on the implementation of the designed workflows, with vetting capabilities. Lead the team of TAs to detect recurrent issues, design solutions, and follow up on implementations with the team of TDs. Arbitrate the best solution to a challenge between the supervisors of the assigned departments. Support the supervisors in meeting their creative goals. Partner with Production Supervisors to follow up on notes and status of developments. Partner with TAs to source and recruit the best talent in the industry. Mentor potential up-and-coming artists to guide them in their career paths. Act as a company ambassador utilizing extensive network in the industry and play a key role in selling the studio as a first-class place of work, maintaining ongoing relationships with key industry players, and contributing to Skydance's reputation. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years in feature animation. Working knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production methods in the 3D animation medium. Professional knowledge of Houdini, Maya, Nuke, Shotgun, and USD. Experience working in developing pipelines. Resourceful and pragmatic in problem-solving. Wide industry knowledge of processes and various pipelines. Advanced Spanish and English level.
