This position oversees all aspects of cell design, from concept development to qualification, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company objectives. It is essential to drive innovation, optimize efficiency, and deliver high-quality cell designs on time and within budget.Main functions:Strategic LeadershipDevelop strategic plans and objectives for the Cell Engineering team in alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.Lead the development of semi-solid and solid-state lithium-ion battery cell designs, ensuring innovative solutions that meet performance requirements.Review customer requirements, propose electrochemical solutions, and select appropriate chemistry based on customer specifications.Team Management and DevelopmentLead and motivate the Cell Engineering team to achieve high performance and meet project deadlines.Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to team members, fostering their professional development and growth.Manage team resources effectively, including budget allocation and workload distribution.Collaboration and CommunicationCollaborate with suppliers, Operations Team, R&D, and other stakeholders to develop innovative cell chemistries that meet project objectives.Communicate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cell designs into product development processes.Act as a technical contact point for customer-related meetings, providing support and expertise as needed.Project Oversight and ExecutionDevelop and execute test plans to evaluate the electrochemical performance of cell designs, working closely with the Testing Team to generate qualification data.Lead investigations to address cell design-related issues, preparing status reports and implementing corrective actions as required.Pursue intellectual property development to protect Basquevolt's competitive position in the market.Quality Assurance and ComplianceEnsure compliance with applicable test equipment, procedures, international standards, and certified agency requirements for lithium-ion battery cells.Apply quality tools to production processes, including statistical analysis of performance results, process capabilities, and design of experiments.Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of cell design and manufacturing.WHAT WE OFFERAt BasqueVolt, we welcome the best talent from around the world
