JOB TITLE:Quality Inspector
LOCATION:Santa Perpetua de Mogoda, Barcelona
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:Inspection of part / product / train / installationReporting of defects & ensuring product compliance (check after rework)MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:The Quality Inspector ensures the compliance of products and parts delivered by the ALSTOM facilities. He / She performs inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process. He / She validates manufacturing control plans in close relationship with PME teams.
Accountabilities & Authorities:Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework).Record inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.Perform destructive & non-destructive examination when required and qualified.Maintain inspection records per component, assembly, and vehicle.Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies, and vehicles.Participate in customer joint inspections.Preparation of approval and shipping documents.Control the correct calibration of critical equipment and instrumentation used in the inspections.Performance measurements:Inspection method time adherence.Defect characterization.Management of rework.REQUIREMENTS:Educational:Associates degree, technical major preferred.Must be able to read drawings/specifications and be familiar with a variety of test equipment.Qualified on special processes of his/her scope of work.Experience:+4 years quality inspection experience within the manufacturing industry.Awareness of processes and products delivered in the project.Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow's mobility.
