WMI Chief Technology Officer Country: Spain Chief Technology Officer – Job Profile The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Wealth Management and Insurance division in a global bank is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving the development of large-scale digital platforms and software products.
The CTO will lead the technology strategy, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of innovative solutions that enhance client services and operational efficiencies in the wealth management and insurance sectors.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership in Software Development: Direct the technology strategy with a strong emphasis on leading software development teams in creating scalable, high-performance digital platforms.
Foster best practices in software engineering, architecture, and agile development.
Product Development and Innovation: Spearhead the creation of cutting-edge digital products and services, driving the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and big data to deliver superior digital experiences to customers.
Platform Architecture and Scaling: Oversee the architecture, design, and scaling of technology solutions, ensuring they meet the performance, security, and compliance requirements of a global business.
Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing technology team, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance on modern development methodologies, including DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other business units, including product management, operations, and marketing, to ensure technology initiatives align with business objectives and customer needs.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with technology partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of digital projects.
Qualifications and Skills: Extensive experience in software development leadership, with a focus on building and scaling large digital platforms and products.
Strong knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud-based technologies, and data-driven development.
Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams, with expertise in agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Familiarity with financial services, wealth management, or insurance is a plus, but not essential.
