You should have proven design experience of delivering projects to client's satisfaction at the appropriate quality standard, ensuring accuracy of drawings and calculations, guaranteeing cost-efficient and appropriate designs and completion of all relevant codes and standards.
You should have knowledge of engineering firm roles, client relationships and the ability to take responsibility on work packages and small working groups.
Job DutiesContribute to design development, design risk and mitigation and value engineering, regarding Medium Voltage systems.Attend design team meetings as appropriate.Obtain design information from sub-consultants and equipment suppliers.Liaise with CAD drafters for production of drawings and junior engineers.Produce detailed design information including calculations and draft design drawings.Produce technical reports and technical specification.Check project specifications and standards for construction.Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of design work in order that successful project implementation and future reliability is achieved.Minimum RequirementsProven junior engineer experience (between 2 and 5 years).Experience on Medium Voltage system design.Understanding of any other railway systems is an advantage but not required.Additional CommentsInternational experience and knowledge of other languages will be a plus.High voltage experience will be evaluated positively.Carry out risk assessments and provision of design information for Health and Safety management.Experience in design of Medium Voltage distribution systems.Strong competency in written English and oral communication are required.Specific Skills RequiredCompetency in any of the below skills are relevant and will be an advantage:Medium Voltage distribution systems project experience.Grid studies (load flow, short circuit, grounding).Preparation of technical specification.Protection systems.Selectivity and coordination of MV protection systems.SoftwareETAP, Autocad
