Offer Description The "la Caixa" Foundation is launching an INPhINIT doctorate fellowships programme for young researchers.
This programme is divided into two frames:
DOCTORAL INPhINIT – INCOMING CALL Doctoral fellowships for researchers who wish to carry out their doctoral project at a Spanish research centre accredited with the Spanish Seal of Excellence Severo Ochoa .
Key points: Maximum duration: 4 years.
Competitive salary: Funding to cover labour costs, research costs and doctoral tuition fees.
On-site training programme in multidisciplinary skills.
Requirements of the call: Experience : candidates must not have carried out more than four years of research activity before the closing date of the call.
Studies pursued : at the time of recruitment, candidates must have completed the studies that allow them to enroll in an official PhD programme in Spain.
Mobility : candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than twelve months in the three years immediately preceding the closing date of the call.
Level of English : candidates must accredit the required level of English by submitting one of the certificates specified in the rules for participation.
DOCTORAL INPhINIT – OTHER CALL Doctoral fellowships for researchers who want to carry out their doctoral project at any university or research centre in Spain . Candidates who are awarded the fellowship must complete their doctoral studies at a university other than the university where they completed their undergraduate studies .

The Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics is a joint research center of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and the National Institute of Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (INIA), that is a National Centre integrated in the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). Its strategic objectives are the generation of knowledge on the genetic and molecular bases of key biological and physiological processes of plants and the organisms that interact with them, as well as the genomics of plants and these organisms. The Center also aims to develop new Computational Biology and Synthetic Biology tools for the functional analysis of plants and microorganisms.
CBGP researchers are grouped into four research areas: Plant Development, Plant-Environment Interaction, Computational and Biosystems Biology and Genomics, and Synthetic Biology and Bioengineering. The center has a remarkable translational biology activity (CBGP-Solutions program) in the innovative ecosystem of the Montegancedo-UPM Campus of International Excellence. This technology transfer activity has allowed the creation of 4 technology-based companies and the development of new products and processes for the productive sectors of the national and international bioeconomy.
