We are currently looking for a Category Support Specialist to join us at our facility in Asturias, Spain.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Category Support Specialist (Sourcing Specialist) to join our dynamic procurement team. The Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in the strategic sourcing and procurement activities of the company, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Support Category Management with tactical activities.
Take charge of price administration and SAP maintenance.
Develop and maintain productive relationship with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Resolve invoice blockage, ensuring on-time payment.
Execution of end-to-end purchasing process.
Resolve disconnects within the order to pay process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
Identifying and executing cost-savings opportunities.
Prepare and analyze sourcing reports, metrics, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline sourcing processes and enhance efficiency.
Key requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
Unquestioned ethics and integrity including the ability to work on confidential matters.
Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the coatings, chemicals, or manufacturing industry.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
