The world in which we operate with our class-leading products, intelligent services and innovative digital solutions is constantly changing.Together, we keep everyday life moving to build a better tomorrow.We, at Hiab are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Category Manager to lead the development and implementation of the category strategy at Hiab with a focus on high performance and a continuous improvement mindset.The role will be accountable to create, develop and execute category strategies to minimise total acquisition cost whilst maximising sustainable and operational performance across Hiab.Travelling, sometimes at short notice, may be part of this role.The role can be based in Spain, Italy or Poland and will be reporting to our Category Director, Contract Manufacturing.Main tasks and responsibilitiesLead the planning and execution of the category strategy across HiabOptimise Hiab/Cargotec resources over the E2E product lifecycle Implement successful cross-functional leadershipParticipate in New Product Development, Supplier relationship Management (SRM), early supplier involvement and selection with technology development, productivity, total cost reduction make/buy programs, should-cost modelling, and business process and system implementationManage and improve the Hiab-wide supplier performance within the categoryIdentify, track and implement cost saving actions Hiab-wide RFQ preparation, analysis and negotiation / business award according to delegation of authorityDevelop open book costings, budgets and raw material forecasting for the categorySupport capacity planning and scalability / flexibility planningIdentify and develop new manufacturing partners within BCC countries to support current and future needs of the businessMarket intelligence: analyse and evaluate market and supplier / competitor trends to ensure that sourcing is based on best practice intelligence, market benchmarksServices Strategy Execution including branding to increase capture rate and spare part revenues
