PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As part of the Global Category Management function, this role will thrive in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment, focusing on handling the Tobacco category management planning on an international scale. This position will be based in Madrid and will report directly to the Category Management Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Management and Growth
Assist the Product Manager in managing markets within the geographical area of responsibility, contributing to sales growth in line with expectations.
Act as the representative of the tobacco category in selected markets, serving as a point of contact for issues, concerns, or opportunities during engagements with the Operations team.
Provide vacation coverage by working in other geographical areas as needed, to assist fellow Product Planners.
Data and Administration Management
Provide strong administration management via ensuring effective administrative support for the area of geographical responsibility.
Ensure the accuracy of data and prompt resolution of issues for the successful management of the Master Data records.
Analyze category performance, identifying gaps in the offer and opportunities for growth to generate reports and complete analysis.
Marketing and Promotional Activities
Assist in key marketing activities via the execution of said assignments within the markets.
Manage and update the retail selling prices in line with the category guidelines.
Manage the A&P input via ensuring timely and accurate execution of agreed promotional activities, and by managing advertising and promotion inputs in the relevant system.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school graduate or equivalent; having a relevant college degree would be preferred.
Exposure to the Retail industry would be an advantage, particularly with the Tobacco sector.
Strong communication skills with fluency in Spanish and English; any other language would be an advantage.
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills paired with a solution-oriented way of working.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels and across cultures.
Proficient level of PC literacy with strong skills in Microsoft Excel are very important.
Enthusiastic, initiative, and open-minded personality; reliable and self-driven with a can-do attitude.
Ability to work flexibly and autonomously given the remote nature of Line Management support.
