ABOUT THE PROCUREMENT TEAM Our Procurement team is responsible for driving value by strategically sourcing and managing supplier relationships, with a focus on ensuring that the procurement decisions are aligned with the latest advancements in technology within the satellite, telecommunications, and media industries. The team collaborates closely with Sales, Technology and Operations to ensure that the procurement activities support the company's multi-year strategic plan and contribute to the seamless execution of our roadmaps. As a Category Buyer based in Madrid and reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our mid to long-term business strategy. This role demands a forward-thinking approach, strategic mindset, and the ability to drive innovation through informed purchasing decisions. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Optimize Supplier Value: Engage in strategic negotiations with vendors, not just to secure competitive pricing, but to optimize overall value through favorable payment terms, quality, and service levels. Market Insight and Timing: Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to identify optimal purchasing opportunities that align with the company's operational and financial objectives. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Technology, and Operations to ensure procurement activities support and enhance the company's broader business goals. Vendor Qualification and Management: Evaluate and select vendors based on their ability to meet the company's diverse needs, emphasizing quality, reliability, and innovation. Inventory and Supply Chain Efficiency: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement activities to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing costs and risks. Strategic Purchasing Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans that align with the company's long-term strategic objectives, contributing to overall business success. Contract Management: Collaborate with the legal department to negotiate and draft contracts that secure the best terms for the company while ensuring compliance and minimizing risk. Reporting and Analysis: Provide comprehensive reports and insights to the Head of Procurement and the ES Senior Management Team, supporting informed decision-making. YOUR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline. Extensive Procurement Expertise: Minimum 6 years experience in procurement and purchasing, with a deep understanding of the entire commercial procurement lifecycle and a proven ability to deliver results
