About the Role
With GR we are building Uber's next 10^10 business. While continuing to lead in food delivery, we're expanding beyond restaurants to offer consumers almost anything at their fingertips - whether it's groceries, essential goods, or retail items. The business is still at a very early stage, with an ambitious growth target. With a focus on rapid growth, cutting-edge technology, and a seamless user experience, we're pushing the boundaries of convenience in the on-demand ecosystem.
A key part of this vision is providing a magical experience to our customers, and catalog is one of the levers to do that. The Catalog Ops Analyst operates in a wide playing field containing assortment, pricing, promotions, content, availability, and search. Creating relevant insights by extracting and merging product and sales data using SQL and Python is a key skill.
The catalog analyst works empirically, finding explanations and solutions in the data, through pilots and trial and error. He/she has a good end-to-end understanding of online retail and knows how to work as a team with engineers, account managers, and merchants. Knows how to set priorities, separate main from side business, and work fast and efficiently even though the role is anchored in analytics.
What You'll Do Monitor KPI performance and actively seek to improve it through data-based scalable solutions. Execute processes to manage and improve KPI levels. Swiftly take corrective action when business-sensitive issues arise. Carry out operational projects with the support of the Global Catalog Ops Team. Identify and communicate technical requirements and opportunities to the Country Support Manager. Act as the representative of the Catalog team in projects from other operational areas which involve Catalog. Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure all parties are knowledgeable of the current catalog status. Become an expert in all things catalog to be the lead consultant for the product team when developing catalog-specific features for Spain. What You'll Need Minimum of 4 years of experience driving scaled operations, or project/program management. Advanced SQL skills and Data Science Python skills. Skilled at distilling large sets of unstructured data into useful insights. Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate and drive consensus across technical and non-technical audiences. Analytical orientation with a curiosity about framing business questions with data and translating business needs into useful solutions that scale. Comfort with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and an ability to operate autonomously. Spanish speaker. Prior experience working with catalogs at an e-commerce or technology company. Explorer. The ability to self-start, investigate, and get the required data, along with learning how to use new tools, will make you much more effective in this role. You enjoy being a self-starter with a proactive attitude.
