We are offering one outstanding candidate the opportunity to be a Carrier & Infertility Genetics R&D Specialist , based in Igenomix Headquarters in Valencia (Spain).
What are you accountable for achieving?
Analyse the clinical data for the validation of Next Generation Sequencing tests.
Variant interpretation using public and professional tools (gnomAD, HGMD, ClinVar…) Provide oversight for quality control and quality assurance as appropriate, including setting quality standards for new product developments.
Comply with applicable regulations, SOPs, practice and professional guidelines regarding genetic test development and data curation.
Stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Collaborate effectively with teammates and technical partners.
Communicate technical ideas and direction across the organization with a focus on problem solving.
What will you need to be successful in this role?
Minimal requirements Bachelor in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or equivalent life sciences.
A master degree or PhD in Human genetics and/or molecular biology will be appreciated.
Knowledge of Human Genetics concepts and terminology.
Expertise in a variety of molecular biology technologies.
Knowledge of Bioinformatics concepts and terminology.
R and/or Python programming skills.
Experience in Linux, development of scripts and advanced use of the command line.
Familiarity with software engineering and algorithms.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and attention to detail.
Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) and data analysis.
Self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment.
Requires an understanding and demonstration of a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
High level of spoken and written English (B2 or higher).
