Position and Responsibilities As a member of the Technical Services Team, you will be working in collaboration with Production, Quality, and other technical groups to analyze automated equipment problems and provide timely resolutions. You are organized, self-motivated, and have a demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, implement, and document projects to improve the reliability of manufacturing processes. You will take ownership of the work and develop the necessary skills to function independently within the work area. General direction is provided on priorities to ensure work completed meets standards. You will provide technical support or oversight to a group of professionals to ensure continuity of operations on small-scale projects (equipment, processes, administrative services, etc.). This position requires shift work supporting 3-shift operations as well as weekends as needed.
Education and Qualifications Requirements of the position:
Electromechanical Technologist / Technician (or equivalent) or millwright/electrician ticket with automation experience5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with automation equipmentHands-on mechanical aptitudeExperience with machine control systems and robotics – AB Logix and Fanuc experience preferredUnderstands due diligence and participates in job hazard analysisApplies project management techniques to manage small-scale process improvement projectsFamiliar with machine vision applications and related hardwareAvailability for shift work and weekend work as requiredAssets:
