About Us Rabbit Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, has produced over 200 million pounds of uranium concentrate since its inception. The uranium mined and milled at Rabbit Lake has been used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role You will be responsible for day-to-day analysis of laboratory samples by wet chemistry and instrumentation methods. You are familiar with the operation of inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) and alpha counting spectrometer.
In this role, you will: Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities within the lab operation and assist with corrective and preventative action planning and implementation.Perform maintenance of analytical equipment in the lab, mill, and mine, and provide coverage to other sites' satellite lab as needed.Required: Chemical technology diplomaTwo to three years relevant work experienceWorking knowledge of chemical laboratory principles and proceduresYou are a team player with the ability to work independently with safety as a core valueExcellent communication and analytical skillsAbility to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbsWilling to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraftRecommended: Experience with an x-ray fluorescence spectrometerExperience with Microsoft Office suiteExperience as a member of Emergency Response or Mine Rescue TeamConditions of Employment: Substance testMedical TestApplicants will be considered for a level within the job progression, which is appropriate to their qualifications.

Safety Sensitive Site The Rabbit Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
