Career Opportunities: Technician, Maintenance US (40080)Must apply on Company website in order to be considered: www.cameco.com/careersPosition and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting, service and repairing pumps, vehicles, machinery, and other equipment.Preventive maintenance activities, plumbing repairs, and data input for maintenance tracking and maintenance parts/tool inventories.Assist with wellfield duties that may include water sampling, well repair, and other wellfield maintenance activities as needed.Follow applicable SOPs in the daily completion of work tasks.Complete regulatory paperwork as needed in a thorough and accurate manner.Must maintain accurate daily records, calibrate instruments, and operate trailer-mounted generators.Education and QualificationsOne year of experience that would be applicable to the responsibilities above, particularly equipment operation and maintenance, is required.High School Diploma/GED with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Basic computer skills required.Welding skills would be preferred.This position involves physical work outside in all weather conditions.Driver's license is required.Applicants will be considered for a level within the job progression, which is appropriate to their qualifications.Safety is a top priority at Cameco. Successful candidates for all positions that will involve work at Safety-Sensitive Sites or in Safety-Sensitive Positions must take and pass a Substance Test, which includes marijuana, as a condition of employment. Marijuana remains in a user's system for about 30 days, so applicants who recently used marijuana recreationally should not expect to pass a substance test.
