The Role Working with the technical services development group at the corporate office in Saskatoon, you will provide technical support in the area of process engineering and process controls for the northern Saskatchewan operations and other corporate groups.
In this role, you will: Utilize and maintain Cameco's AVEVA PI data system (both developing applications and dashboards for sites, and system upkeep).
Support and grow Cameco's process controls optimization program, which measures and manages performance of industrial control loops at the northern Saskatchewan mining and milling sites, and enables advanced self-serve process data analytics.
Support capital project development by performing data analysis, design calculations, and other process engineering deliverables.
Support process sampling campaigns and on-site process optimization test work at the northern Saskatchewan mining and milling sites.
Required: You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student specializing in chemical, process, metallurgical, and/or computer engineering or a related field.
Recommended: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience in industrial plant environments.
Experience with AVEVA PI System or related data analytics and visualization tools.
This is a 16-month full-time temporary student term, starting May 2025 until the end of August 2026.
Interviews will take place in January 2025.
