Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.The RoleWorking as a team member of the McArthur River mine engineering department, you will be responsible for providing mine engineering support to the operation. This role will require contributions in various technical disciplines. Necessary training will be provided to you to meet the needs of the department.In this role, you will:- Provide engineering expertise through surveying, ventilation, production and development layouts, short term planning, ground control and project work.- Work closely with the mine engineering group to further develop your work experience while providing your expertise in all aspects of mine engineering in an underground mine.Required:You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student in geological or mine engineering, or other applicable academic fields.Flexibility, teamwork and good time management.Strong communication, planning and organizational skills.Demonstrate a resolute attitude towards safety.Work a rotation schedule and commute to site by aircraft.Recommended:- Previous experience in an underground mining environment in a technical or operational role.- Familiarity with mining software, Deswik preferred.Conditions of Employment:- Pre-employment Substance Test.- You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
