Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world's highest-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at Cigar Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power.
The Role
In this role, you will:
Assist the maintenance engineering department with various tasks, including drafting mechanical equipment and installations using various CAD packages.
Perform mechanical design tasks under the guidance of the maintenance engineers.
Assist with equipment inspections and field tests.
Prepare reports as required to propose solutions to engineering problems.
Assist with a variety of projects and other day-to-day activities.
The successful candidate will work a term of approximately sixteen months starting in May 2025.
Required:
You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
Demonstrate a resolute attitude towards safety.
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
