We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.The RoleWorking with the Technical Services, Mining group at the corporate office in Saskatoon, you will be involved in concept to feasibility studies related to project support, assurance activities, and operational support.In this role, you will:Work with shotcrete/backfill design/distributionAssist in mine extension supportWork with quality assurance and quality controlParticipate in ventilation, dewatering, and ground control assurance activity – conformance to corporate and site standardsComplete technical memo and report writingEngage with corporate technical services personnel, mine engineering, and geology teams at mine sitesWork with ground control with a large focus on operational support in ground support design, ground support product reviews, mining sequencingGain exposure to unique Jet Boring Mining System as used at Cigar Lake MineWork with raisebore and long hole mining methods at McArthur River MineRequired:You will be entering your third or fourth year as a university student in geological or mine engineering, or other applicable academic fields.Demonstrate a resolute attitude towards safetyWork a portion of your term doing a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraftConditions of Employment:Substance TestCameco is an employment equity employer and aims to achieve gender parity, and as such, preference will be given to qualified members of equity groups.
