The Role
The senior specialist, digital communications will assist with enhancing the corporation's reputation through the representation of Cameco's global brand to various external stakeholders. This position is primarily accountable for supporting Cameco's corporate and community websites' content management, graphic design, image library management and digital communications distribution to external audiences.
In this role, you will:
Co-ordinate website content revision processes, navigation, structure and public release with subject matter experts and the web team with an emphasis on user-centered design for current public disclosures/reporting.
Create web visuals reflecting the Cameco brand, business strategy and leadership in the global nuclear industry and be responsible for periodic reviews of content.
Create compelling graphic designs for advertising, infographics, posters, brochures, leaflets, fact sheets, reports, presentations; often multi-format – print, web, social, presentations and more.
Create motion/interactive graphic creation for infographics and presentations.
Co-ordinate image bank including photo/video retention, cataloguing, and requests (internal/external).
Layout, copy edit and distribute a variety of external communications (news releases and announcements) through news wire service, website, social media, subscriber email and internal communication, ensuring Cameco meets regulated disclosure requirements.
Creating (including visuals) and distributing social media posts on multiple channels, as well as developing and executing social media campaigns, including measuring results against objectives.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic/Commercial/Creative Arts; Applied computing (interactive system design); Communications
A minimum of 8 years experience in web development and creation of visual presentations, layout and functionality of web sites and related applications. Experience in graphic design to communicate information for publications, advertising, films, packaging, posters, signs and interactive media such as web sites.
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
