As a Sr. Specialist, Contracts, you'll play a key role on project teams in the execution of capital expenditure projects.In this role, you will:Work closely with capital project teams, contracts administrators, and site stakeholder teams to plan and execute procurement and contracting activities.Guide and advise stakeholders on procurement best practices and solutions to achieve project deliverables.Collaborate with project teams to develop sourcing and contracting strategies for all goods and services needed to deliver assigned projects.Develop and initiate requests for information, quotations, and proposals, evaluating bids, completing award recommendations, contract conformance, and execution in compliance with Cameco's policies, standards, and codes.Consult with internal legal counsel to negotiate terms and conditions and advise stakeholders.Negotiate and resolve disputes with vendors and contractors.Coach and mentor team members on best practices and work processes.Required:Bachelor's degree in commerce or engineering.A minimum of seven years of experience, specifically in supply chain management.Extensive experience in negotiating, developing, and executing large contracts for consulting services, construction, and complex equipment
